Future information

This Futuro is located in Ōtautahi, Christchurch. It is one of only a few remaining in New Zealand and is now officially on the market to the highest bidder/offer. This original 'tiny house' appears listed as the 'New Brighton' Futuro in the published book FUTURO - Tomorrow's House from Yesterday, first printed in 1998 by Desura Oy Ltd in Helsinki, Finland. Over the past 10 years, this Futuro has been relocated twice, making public appearances in the Christchurch Botanical Gardens and The Cathedral Square. It has likely had the most public viewings of any Futuro in our country and, as such, could be considered a celebrity! Visitors to Christchurch can enjoy a range of attractions, from historical landmarks like this Futuro house to entertainment venues such as NZD casinos. Christchurch was the production location for Futuro Homes Ltd. Only 12 units were produced here for the entire country in the early 1970s, including two prototypes created for the 1974 Commonwealth Games at the newly opened QE2 stadium.
